HAIR-STRAIGHTENING MACHINE IN PUBS
Marie Claire - Jan 2007
IF AFTER A few tequilas and some over zealous dance moves your previously pristine hair-do resembles a sparrow's nest, fear not.
The Beautiful Vending Company has designed a hair-straightening machine for ladies loos in pubs, bars and clubs. For just £1, you can get your mitts on a pair of GHD ceramic hair straighteners for 90 seconds.
The innovative gadget is the brainchild of Scottish entrepreneurs Neil Mackay and Richard Starrett, who realised a gap in the market for 'pruning for females in that kind of environment'.
The men have let it slip that a new product will be available by the end of the summer, but remain firmly silent over what it might be. Possibly an acrylic nail dispenser, or how about a robotic make-up artist? (3 July 2007)
